Father Christmas and Father Christmas Goes on Holiday, Raymond Briggs - classics that all the family loves - brilliant at getting the children to tell the story using the pictures as limited words.

The Jolly Christmas Postman, Janet and Allan Ahlberg, absolute classic with lovely humorous stories and letters.

The Night Before Christmas - lots of versions of this around with lovely illustrations to accompany the classic poem - a must for Christmas Eve!

Topsy and Tim Meet Father Christmas, Jean and Gareth Adamson - lovely story which children can relate too.
